“IPC is effective in temporarily decreasing the swelling and stiffness after exercise-induced muscle injury.”

“Our results suggest that IPC is effective in temporarily decreasing exercise-induced swelling and stiffness. This is consistent with others who have shown that IPC decreases posttraumatic edema and increases range of motion in patients with fractures of the lower leg and with ankle sprain injuries although the type of injury and the tissues injured are different.”
